How often do you get to dig into into the lives of people who lived in your city, thousands of years ago?
The Israel Antiquities Authority is offering an invitation to tour and do some digging at the Ir HaYayin Archeology dig in Ashkelon on July 26, 2021, between the hours of 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
There will be four tours, each starting at 4:00 pm, 4:30 pm, 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm.
The dig location is not found on a map, but if you go to the corner of Exodus St. and Shaar Yashuv St. there will be signs leading you to the location.
- Wear closed toe shoes (no sandals)
- Wear long pants
- Bring a hat
- Make sure you bring plenty of water
