Lacrosse is one of the oldest team sports still being played today. A form of lacrosse was played by First Nations and Native Americans as far back as 1100 CE. Canadian Jesuit missionaries wrote about it in the 1600s. Today’s lacrosse follows similar ideas, but the rules have been changed to make it a lot safer and suitable for kids than the original game.
The Ashkelon Lacrosse Club holds youth practices of boys and girls teams on Sundays and Tuesdays.
The cost is 100 ₪ a month and 300 ₪ for a one-time fee for equipment.
Right now, national teams hold training in the mornings 8-10:30 most days of the week.
