Over 30 years ago, two brothers, owners of grocery stores in Jerusalem, decided to parlay their knowledge of the food market and their desire to sell inexpensive and healthy foods in Israel. They created B&D, which stands for “better and different”. They were very successful in producing natural and high-quality products at affordable prices. You can find many of their natural products at food stores across the country.

Their approach was simple; reduce the industrial processes to the minimum, ensuring the products are of the highest quality, while sticking to simpler, less industrial methods of manufacture. Their peanut butter is made with with just one single ingredient; peanuts! They roast the peanuts slowly in order to keep the taste and the nutritional values. Their rice cakes are produced by a relatively old method, baked one by one. The sesame seeds of the tahina are ground with a millstone, which they say, enables the vitamins and minerals to be better absorbed in the body. Their cornflakes and other cereals are produced from whole corn grains without using mixtures of flour. They also make a range of gluten free products and products without the addition of sugar or salt.

Not only are their products tasty and healthy, they are cheap! B&D appeals to the Haredi market, which is known for its large families. It is no surprise that many of the BND factory outlet stores are located in cities with a large Haredi population; Jerusalem, Bnei Brak, Elad, Ashdod, Netivot and Beter Ilit.

So before you order vitamins from the US or visit a local health food store, you should check out the B&D factory outlet stores.
