Review for Steakhouse Istanbul
There are many local restaurants offering what is usually referred to as ‘Grill Yisraeli,’ which means a tableful of salads and side dishes accompanying the individual diner’s choice of meat course. Of all of them, I find Istanbul one of the better ones. It has been here for many years – I first ate there 30 years ago – and seems to have maintained its quality over time. The entrecote is my choice, although for the non-carnivore reading this, I can report that the fish is also delicious. (My wife orders fish when we eat there.) As is usual for these kind of places, the salads are bottomless and fresh. The pita is also great – straight from the oven to your table.
Pros
Food very tasty and fresh. Located in the traditional center of Ashkelon, near the shuk and all kinds of shopping.
Cons
No open-air dining. Parking might require a bit of a walk.
