What dangers lie ahead for Diaspora Jews?

Is it time for Jews to leave the Diaspora?

Judaism has an institutionalized, collective memory that has guided us through both good times and bad times. We mourn our historical losses and celebrate our victories through holidays and special customs. We pass on the warnings to be vigilant of tyranny from generation to generation. Every Passover we say the words of Vehi Sheamda in the Haggadah: “…in every generation they rise up to destroy us, but the Holy One, Blessed be He, delivers us from their hands.” Sometimes that deliverance is not immediate and we suffer. How do we know when it will happen to us? Are there signs or red lines to look for? Since we are the people who are called the “canary in a coal mine”, we have to be able to assess the clues to know when the situation is so toxic, it is time to get out.
